Old Fort Delhi
Purana Qila or the Old Fort of Delhi is a 16th century fort built in red sandstone. Spread over 2.41kms in area, the fort is fascinating building of 33.5 meters height with a majestic architecture in octagonal shape which is a combination of Mughal, Hindu and Afghan styles.The magnificent Old Fort of Delhi is standing on the ancient princely site of Indraprastha, the capital of Pandavas. The centuries old fort, Purana Qila, built by the Humayun and Sher Shah Suri has survived the ravages of time. It has witness many wars and battles of the bygone era.
